Janet King

Founder | Strategic Development Advisor | Real Estate Executive

Specialized Project Experience in Central Virginia

2020 marked a defining milestone for Trinity, as Janet King returned to building and developing exclusively under the Trinity brand—bringing together decades of leadership across corporate banking, construction, land development, and strategic real estate advisory.

After earning her business degree from Virginia Tech, Janet launched her career in corporate banking, specializing in commercial real estate and construction lending for nearly a decade. This early foundation sharpened her expertise in underwriting, capital structuring, lender risk management, and the financial architecture behind successful projects.
She was later recruited into senior leadership at RJ Smith Companies, where she served as Managing Director of Real Estate, leading strategic initiatives across site development, construction, real estate operations, and long-term asset value creation.

This rare combination of corporate banking discipline, builder/developer execution, executive leadership, and growth strategy became the foundation of Trinity’s distinct client experience.
Today, Janet advises clients through site selection, feasibility, financing, entitlement strategy, development execution, construction oversight, and portfolio growth, helping businesses align their operational goals with smart real estate decisions.

Construction Management and More

Debbie Stoddard earned a Building Construction Management degree from East Carolina University.  With experience in land prospecting, building subdivisions and beautiful custom and work-force housing homes, she has a keen eye for design and is well known for interpreting and sketching up some of Janet’s ideas over an afternoon lunch (literally on a napkin).

Maintenance & Design Meet

Building a team is about recognizing talent and integrity, and in 2021, Janet was able to recruit a former player from her past team, Gary Hollowell.  Gary brings over 30 years of Industrial and Commercial construction experience with a specialty in HVAC and sitework.  He has an impressive background in the operations of power plants, chemical plants, manufacturing plants, paper mills, and petroleum facilities.  Gary has experience in managing capital projects including new facilities and facilities repairs, replacement and preventative maintenance up to $100 million annually.  He also understands the critical path in coordination and timing involved in shutdowns.

In 2019, Gary became Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified. This certification is based on risk assessment of shutdown projects.
